Thinking about interactivity, during the summer 2022 artist residency at Yaddo Artist Residency, I finalized this instrument, which was a result of previous tests and research during the 2021 MacDowell fellowship. The new format instruments are focused on expanding the pool of performers from highly trained wind instrument specialists to a broader range of people. This instrument is informed by Santour and Qanun. The rifle is provided through another gun buyback program.
