CULTURAL EX-HAUSTION/CHANGE
SOLO SHOW AT KUNSTVEREIN LETCHEBACH, KARLSRUHE, GERMANY, 2016
In order to attend my residency and solo show I ended up submitting about 1000 pages of documents and took a few months to secure my travel visa to Germany. These 1000 pages were mostly legal papers showing that I am who I claim to be: An International Artist who is trying to enter Germany for an Art residency and Art shows. The process took so long that I arrived a few days before the opening. Hence I decided to just show my artistic credentials and letters. resume portfolio, letters of recommendation, publications, awards, legally translated forms, and all the other materials in three copies exactly the way I was asked to submit them. Also upon the request of the residency, I took two of my previous pieces in order to donate them to both of my residencies in Europe which I carried in a big size suitcase. Those were also shown in the exhibition.
